I knew from a young age that I was destined to work with animals.

As a child, I spent many afternoons sitting in my favorite tree dreaming of the day that I would grow up and become a Marine Biologist or a Veterinarian. I've always had an affinity for dolphins, whales, elephants, horses, dogs, and cats but easily saw myself helping animals of all kinds. Everyone always told me that I had a way with them.

My entire working career has revolved around service-related jobs. This spans from my first job as a lifeguard, my service in the United States Army, and later with my work as both a police and fire/rescue dispatcher.

All of these jobs were rewarding but something was missing...animals!

In 1997, my husband's company relocated us from Florida to Georgia. It was during this time that I realized I had strayed from the dream. I was restless but unsure of what to do next. I "happened" across an article in a magazine about a woman who owned a pet sitting service. As soon as I read it, I knew it was for me too! I excitedly announced to my husband that I would be opening a pet sitting and dog walking service of my own upon our arrival in Georgia. I had decided to follow my heart and was greatly rewarded.

 My pet sitting business took off right away and I developed a very loyal list of client's in a rather short amount of time. My business grew by leaps and bounds and is still successful to this day. 

 It's no surprise that the perfect career for me combines my deep desire to help people with my intense passion for animals. As a lifelong animal enthusiast, I've always had a special relationship with them and feel a deep kinship with animals of all kinds.

Although I absolutely loved my work as a professional pet sitter and dog walker, I knew deep in my heart that there was something more in store for me.  

In 2001, I heard about an energy healing system called Reiki and innately knew I needed to study it. I was attuned to both level I and level II by March of that year. Although I knew it was traditionally used on people, I wanted to apply it to animals instead. I felt like it was my true purpose in life. I did not feel that my efforts with them at that time were successful though so I put it aside. Although I did not utilize my Reiki on anyone, I did recognize that it was working to heal and prepare me for the day that I would be ready to begin my animal energy healing odyssey.  

I happened across a book called Animal Reiki and immediately ordered it. It could not get here fast enough for me. I read it from cover to cover in one sitting and had my aha moment. I immediately started applying the techniques in the book on the animals in my life with amazing results! I contacted one of the authors, Kathleen Prasad, via email and quickly enrolled in one of her distance courses to further my studies.

I am a Reiki Master. I'm also a qualified 7 Rays Practitioner and I have also been ordained as a minister.

It's been an amazing journey, and I now see that every step was necessary to bring me to where I am now.

I am so grateful to finally be able to live my life's purpose, and I wish the same for all of you!

I reside in the North Atlanta, GA area with my husband and daughter. We share our home with 3 of our own dogs, one foster dog,  a Betta fish, and a Pink Toe Tarantula name Charlotte!
